Knowledge Project on Social Innovation Intermediaries

Overview

Under contract to Employment and Social Development Canada, a federal department, Jackson and Associates carried out research on promising models of social innovation and social finance funds that work with intermediaries.

Results

The focus was on the capacity building, financial leveraging and evaluation activities of the intermediaries, which included nonprofits, foundations, and cooperatives.

This project drew lessons from experience in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, and followed an earlier study carried out by Jackson and Associates on social innovation intermediaries in Canada.
