CDC’s Mobilization of Private Capital

Edward Jackson advised a team on CDC’s crowding in of private capital

Overview

From 2017 through 2026, Dr. Edward Jackson, President of Jackson and Associates, is serving as a senior advisor on a longitudinal study of the ways in which the CDC, the UK’s development finance institution, can crowd in more private capital into investment-ready funds and businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.  The use of demonstration projects, risk-mitigation, research and information provision, and other strategies by CDC will be analyzed over time and fed back to the institution for continuous improvement.  The client for the project is the Department for International Development.  Our firm is working through the UK-based consulting company Itad.
