Our team evaluated innovation and entrepreneurship programs in three regions
Client: World Bank
Project: Mid-Term Review of the infoDev Program
Type: Evaluation
Date: 2016-2017
Overview
In 2016-2017, working with Deloitte Canada, a team from Jackson and Associates carried out fieldwork in the Caribbean, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Nepal as part of an evaluation of the World Bank’s infoDev program, a multi-donor trust fund. Supporting incubators, pitch contests, hackathons, ecosystem-building, policy reform and targeted grants and investments, and international partner networks, infoDev works in three sectors: agribusiness, green technologies, and digital business. Gender equality is a cross-cutting theme for all sectors.
Results
Based on document review, key-person interviews and site visits, and country case studies, the evaluation’s findings and recommendations were presented to program executives and managers for their future action.
