Global Faculty Convening on Impact Investing
On June 27-28, 2017, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, organized a meeting of 50 university faculty members who teach and carry out research on impact investing. With an emphasis on finance and accounting specialists, the convening was attended by professors from several business schools: California (LA and Berkeley), Duke, Harvard, New York, Pennsylvania, Stanford and Utah universities. From outside the US, Cape Town, Carleton, Maastricht, and Strathmere universities were represented. The Rockefeller and Ford foundations supported the event. Dr. Ted Jackson, President of E.T. Jackson and Senior Research Fellow at the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation, participated in the convening and spoke about the the executive training course on evaluating impact investing he developed with universities and other partners in Ghana and South Africa.
